  • Sentence: if you don't try your best, the results will probably be mediocre.

2. Punct: point
  • Example: compunction: n. remorse; twinges of guilt
  • Sentence: the student felt compunction after he didn't try his best on the final project.

3. Poten: power
  • Example; impotent; adj. lacking power, incapable
  • Sentence: The marathoner's efforts to finish the reace were impotent in face of his paralyzing exhaustion.

4. Logo: word
  • Example: loggerhead; n. a blockhead or dunce
